In celebration of his new monograph, Covert to Overt: The Under/Overground Art of Shepard Fairey (Rizzoli), Shepard Fairey will speak with Chris Stein about the world of art and the art of the world. Fairey’s “Hope” poster, created during Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, is arguably the most iconic American image since Uncle Sam. Fairey has become a pop-culture icon himself, though he has remained true to his street-art roots. Stein, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee best known as an innovative guitarist for Blondie and as a groundbreaking songwriter, has been equally passionate about, and devoted to photography.

Blondie Band Endorses Peterson Tuners
From Peterson Tuners’ Facebook Page:
The band, Blondie, is a force. They helped bridge the gap between rock and dance music genres more than forty years ago and are still going strong. Their music embodies all the majesty of rock, the power to communicates to the masses that only pop sensibilities can bring, and heavily textured rhythm figures so contagious that even the most stoic of rock and rollers go running for the dance floor. Often times less is truly more, so their to the point statement that “We use Peterson products because they are simply the best” is all we need to know. Shown pictured Chris Stein,Tommy Kessler, and Leigh Foxx. Thanks for the love, guys!
